TINY BEAUTIFUL THINGS

Alert!  This play has ADULT SUBJECT MATTER AND LANGUAGE! Please do not audition if you cannot speak the lines as written or the subject matter is triggering to you.

 

When:  August 27th, 5:00-7:00pm 

Callbacks by invitation only: 8:00-10:00pm

Where:  MiraCosta College Theatre,  1 Barnard Drive, Oceanside, CA 92056

You must be vaccinated to come onto the campus, masks required in all areas except when you are alone onstage. (official information coming soon)

 

Who:  We are looking for an ensemble of actors who can play multiple roles in this production.  There is no restriction on gender, race, type, etc.

“Sugar” is the central character.  This actor will have TONS of MEMORIZING to do.  Please don’t audition for this role if you can’t accomplish this amount of memorization in the 3-week rehearsal period.

 

What to Prepare for the Main Audition

Page 11 and the top of 12.  You will be reading this all the way through, playing all the parts.  I am looking for your ability to make subtle changes in your voice and physical energy from one Letter Writer to the next.

 

What to Prepare for the Callbacks

Prepare pages 17-19.  You may be asked to read the Letter Writer or Sugar.  Prepare them both.  Sugar can be male or female.

WHEN ARE REHEARSALS AND WHEN IS THE SHOW…

Beginning August 30th then Sunday-Thursday from 5:30-10:00pm

Opening night is September 30th- Closing day October 10th

Tech weekend is September 25-26 from noon to 10pm
